The main focus of the Center will be youth, action, and community- getting young people involved in their community, and helping them to create caring relationships with adults. Youth commissioners will create and manage projects designed to help their community, other youth of the area, and the Center itself.

Several areas the Center will be working on will be youth living on the street, sexual healthcare for teenagers, and teens with alcohol or drug problems.

The YAC wants to create a community forum, in order to educate the public, and bring together people from all parts of the community to ensure that the voices of Bay Area teens are heard.
